Corrections

Every page lists its sources and the date they were last checked. If you find a discrepancy, tell us which page and which section, and give the source you are comparing against. Confirmed corrections are made on the page itself.

Editorial standards

We write from primary sources – the institutions, agencies and documents concerned – and explain them in our own words. We do not publish figures without a source a reader can check.

We use artificial intelligence tools to help find sources, prepare drafts and check texts, and we do so ethically and openly. We work with several independent tools and cross-check their results against one another, and every figure and quotation is verified against its source. Nothing is published without the approval of the editorial team, which takes responsibility for every text on the site.

Independence

Lausanne.science is an independent educational site. We are not affiliated with EPFL, its Swiss Plasma Center, the University of Lausanne, the CHUV or the City of Lausanne. It does not promote commercial brands.

Institutions and cooperation

If you work at an institution, museum or event mentioned here and want to correct or update a description, write to us. We are also open to cooperation with institutions, educators and science communicators; anything sponsored is always clearly marked and never affects what we write.
